Established over 25 years ago, this family-run business has gone from strength to strength, to become one of Stoke-on-Trent’s leading skip hire, waste management and recycling specialists.
A1 Skip Hire's website hadn't been redesigned for more than 5 years. This translated to a poor user experience for visitors using mobile devices, which, looking at the statistics, was the majority of their potential customer base. During this time, A1's service and skip offering had also increased to include a greater range of skip sizes, along with increased waste management services.
The Solution
Most people don't know what size of skip is required when the industry speaks in terms of tons, so Stellified's design team devised a way to remove the confusion from the skip hiring process. We opted to give the user a visual size illustration by placing an average sized human avatar next to each skip size to add in a sense of scale to the selection process.
The Stellified guys have done a fantastic job with their creative focus on design to promote my business. My customers now have a clear guide to help them choose the skip size they require, or the right service they need from us. As a result, online enquiries have gone from virtually zero to multiples per day. Thank you!
